Welcome...
Welcome to the Central Province's new Online Health Bulletin. This interactive web portal is the most current and comprehensive source for health data within the Central Province, offering both real-time status and historical trends.
The bulletin provides detailed statistics across four major domains: morbidity, mortality, resource availability, and provision of services. Beyond raw numbers, the portal includes descriptive profiles and performance statistics for all health programs, campaigns, and institutions operating within the province.

The Planning Unit of the Office of the Provincial Director of Health Services is responsible for the collection, compilation, and preparation of this vital resource.

Message From the Provincial Director of Health...
The Central Province is currently undergoing rapid development, necessitating the health sector to launch multiple projects to improve care. Our Annual Health Bulletin is crucial to this effort, serving as the primary source for health data required to plan, monitor, and accurately reflect the health status of the entire Central Province.
Although its publication was recently delayed for various reasons, this online provincial health bulletin is a testament to the untiring efforts of the staff at the Office of the Provincial Director of Health Services, Central Province, to clear the backlog and ensure its release. My sincere appreciation goes to all officials who provided the essential data, and especially to the dedicated Planning Unit staff whose focused efforts were crucial to the successful compilation and publication of this resource.
Finally, I must sincerely thank the Provincial Ministry of Health, Central Province, the Regional Directors of Health Services for Kandy, Matale, and Nuwara Eliya, and their respective staff. Your sustained hard work throughout the year is the fundamental foundation upon which the success of the Central Province Health Services is built.
Dr. S.P.A.L. Ranaweera
Provincial Director of Health, Central Province.
